Download the Attendify app onto your phone from the App Store or Google Play—text yourself a download link here. Search “2021 Global Cotton Conference” within the app and join the event to access our exclusive social network.
Once you select join, sign up/log in using the same email address you registered for the conference with to create a profile. Then, build and edit your profile with details that will help you best connect with other attendees leading up to and at the conference.
Add personal details that will make you easy to spot once in Lisbon, such as your photo, position and company. Add other information so that you can show up in other attendees’ searches and connect with attendees beyond the event, sharing your profile as a VCard directly to their phone and cross posting with other social networks like Twitter and LinkedIn. Don't forget to tap the check button at the top right corner to save the changes to your profile.
Enter the People section of the conference mobile app and use the search option in the upper right corner to find registrants by keywords. You can use a name, occupation, website, and virtually any keyword to search by. Save registrants to your phone's contact list by tapping on them to enter their profile, select the ellipsis icon in the upper-right corner, and hit "Add to Contacts". Within registrant profiles, you can also connect with them on social networks they have made available.
Engage with other registrants directly within the app by sending private or group messages—simply select the envelope icon in the top right corner of your menu. This Messaging area, is where you will find all of your ongoing chats. To start a new chat, select the “plus” sign in the top right-hand corner. Then, in the pop-up that appears at the bottom, they should click the "create group chat" option.
Go into our Agenda section to find detailed session and speaker information. Bookmark sessions and speakers onto your personal list of bookmarked items to easily access the info later through your app menu at Bookmarks & Notes. Simply tap the bookmark icon next to each item to add and tap again to remove—you can also do this for sponsors and other registrants. When adding a session to your Bookmarks from the Agenda, you'll be able to set a reminder about that particular session (10, 30, or 60 minutes in advance) and create a personal schedule. You can group your bookmarks, choosing to see the separate category Agenda, to do this.
Ask questions, like ideas, make comments, begin conversations, vote on polls, and share photos on the Activity Stream. Cross post onto your linked social media networks and draw the attention of individuals by mentioning them in your post as seen below. Make sure to keep on top of your activity by accessing your notifications at the top left hand corner.
